Multi-Family at Market Common
In 2006, Chancel was contacted by one of the Principals of a Development Company to build three story live-work townhouses and two story townhouses in the Myrtle Beach area. The Development Company had numerous locations to include Market Common. Over a period of six years, Chancel built more than 200 multi-family units.
As the housing market changed, so did the focus of the developer and Chancel HRT. An opportunity to build single family homes in a 55+ community for the developer in Murrells Inlet has led to a premier Active Adult Community.

Chancel also began building Charleston style homes for the developer in the Market Common area called Sweetgrass to meet the demand there for single family housing. There are a number of house plans that Dockstreet Communities has for one to choose from when selecting the home of their dreams. They range in heated square feet from 1,500 to 2,000+ with 2 ½ and 3 ½ baths. Some of the houses with detached garages also have a mother-in-law unit above the garage.
